Afrobeats singer, Kelvyn Boy, has shared the life-changing impact of his number one song, ‘Down Flat’.
While all of Kelvyn Boy’s songs helped him make money, he claims that the song ‘Down Flat’ was the one that really made a difference in his life.
The well-known singer described the song’s tremendous effect on him in a post on X, saying, “All my songs before ‘Down Flat’ ensured there was food on the table, but ‘Down Flat’ changed my life.”
‘Down Flat,’ released in 2022, won the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ ‘Highlife Song of the Year.’
After a dancer devised choreography for the song, which was composed in less than 20 minutes and released to a raving reception, it became popular on TikTok. The song reached new heights as a result.
Kelvyn Boy signed with Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group before leaving the label in 2019 over a number of controversy-related issues.
He is also well-known for hits including ‘Mea’, ‘Kpo K3k3’, and ‘Yawa No Dey’.
