Abesim Murder Trial Suffers Delay Following Absence of Juror

The trial of Richard Appiah, the man accused of killing two minors in Abesim in the Bono region has taken a set back.

This follows the adjournment of the case to May 27 following the absence of a juror.

The court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey was expected to have a case completion plan but that did not happen as the jury was not properly constituted.

Justice Ruby Aryeetey after been informed that, the said juror had written a letter to the registrar about her absence said she was not privy to the information.

While adjourning the case to May, 27 Justice Ruby Aryeetey requested for an excuse duty from the said juror on the next adjourned date.

Richard Appiah, an architect has been charged with two counts of murder for allegedly killing 12 year old Luis Agyemang and 15-year-old Stephen Sarpong in Abesim in 2021.

He is alleged to have killed and cut thier body parts and kept them in a fridge.
