The National Democratshy;ic Congress (NDC) has returned to the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), an advisory body made up of political parties that give non-binding adshy;vice to the Electoral Commission (EC).
On December 14, 2023, the NDC announced its decision to return to IPAC at a stakeholders meeting on inter-parshy;ty dialogue organised by the National Peace Council, at Peduase in the Eastern Region.
Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the party said the NDC’s return was based on IPAC maintaining its consenshy;sus, whereby decisions would be taken in consideration of all parshy;ties in the interest of the country.
“We must work to make sure that IPAC returns to its consensus-building ways. The National Peace Council must ensure that the issues that were blocking our return will be dealt with before the next IPAC meeting,” he said.
So far the biggest opposition party in the nation has attended two IPAC meetings: on the 22nd and 29th of January 2024.
Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, NPP National Organizer speaking in reaction on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' commended the NDC saying "Whoever advised them to return to IPAC did well..."
