Man Commits Suicide Over Fear Girlfriend Will Dump Him

It was wailing in Agbor, Ika South local government area, Delta State when a young man in his early 20s allegedly committed suicide in his apartment on Monye Lane.

Neighborhood sources said the young man identified as, Victor, took his life over an alleged threat by his girlfriend to end their relationship.

The neighbour said: “Victor loved his girlfriend so much and he was afraid she would leave him for another man. He hanged himself in his room.

“We heard he disagreed with the girlfriend, a fashion designer. And as usual, he was afraid she would dump him. We heard the girl even came to settle their differences and left.”

Vanguard gathered that the remains of the late Victor had been buried at the Agbor cemetery.

“Families had to plead with the police to release the corpse for burial. It was a very painful death. The late Victor was a lively person in the hood. We will all miss him very dearly,” the source said.vanguardngr
