My Career Is Dying – WABU Super Middleweight Champion Cries Out | Boxing

Ghana's reigning West African Boxing Union (WABU) Super Middleweight champion, Eliasu Sulley, says his boxing profession is regularly dying because of poor administration.

The boxer dethroned Mawuli Folivi, the previous champion, in May 2021 through a technical knockout to win the title.

In an interview with GNA Sport, the boxer from Accra's Second Out Gym mentioned his dream of turning into a world champion sooner or later was in jeopardy because of a scarcity of bouts.

"I received the WABU Super Middleweight title final 12 months however I've not fought since then with no native or worldwide struggle for me. I wasn't included within the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and it's turning into very demoralizing for me as I goal to turn out to be a world champion sometime.

"I signed a five-year contract with my manager from February 2020 to February 2025, and since then I have not been paid either signing fees or salary, and the organizers of the WABU Super Middleweight championship have not paid me yet, so life is very difficult for me and my family."

He expressed his frustration together with his present administration, particularly with contractual points, pleading for a launch as he seeks to rejuvenate his profession.
