The Chairperson of the Convention People's Party (CPP), Nana Akosua Frimpongmaa Sarpong Kumankumah, has known as on the government to heed the cries of the youth within the face of the present financial hardships.
“We are asking the government to immediately do what is right to ensure that, especially, foodstuffs and transportation for our young people are affordable,” she mentioned.

Nana Sarpong Kumankumah made the feedback through the Kume Preko demonstration held over the weekend in Accra.

She joined lots of of Ghanaians who took to the streets within the capital to register their displeasure over the present financial hardships within the nation.

The protesters, clad in crimson and black, marched via some principal streets demanding the instant resignation of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice-President, Mahamadu Bawumia.

Nana Sarpong Kumankumah mentioned she was in help of the youth who had been exercising their democratic rights by voicing their considerations peacefully.

“The signal that it sends to the government is that the Ghanaian youth is peaceful. The Ghanaian youth just wants some better lifestyle,” she mentioned.

“I'm right here to help the youth of this nation and I'm tasking each youth to become involved.

This is the one means they will vent their frustration and we the adults help them as a result of we've tousled,” she mentioned.

She added that the demonstration was the youth's means of telling the older era that they had “messed up”.

“So if this is the way they are going to tell us that we have messed up, then we should accept it,” she mentioned.
Nana Sarpong Kumankumah, subsequently, urged the government to take heed to and settle for the grievances of the populace saying that each one the youth needed was a greater life.
