The administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), Hon. Irene Naa Torshie Addo solicits votes from widows for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 general election.
According to her, this year’s election is about the future of the children, especially for widows, widowers and the less privileged in society.
She was optimistic that the party will be retained in power starting “widows and orphans are the apple of God’s eye, that is why I have come to you to help me pray to God for Dr. Bawumia to win this year’s election”.
Hon. Naa Torshie advised the widows to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stressing “when it comes to development, infrastructure and good policies such as Free SHS, agenda 111hellip;I don’t think there is a match for us. For instance, our mothers now don’t have to sell their clothes again before they can pay for their ward's school fees”.
“Don’t let us be deceived just like in the era of former President Kufour that we handed power to the NDC to come and collapse free maternal care. Be vigilant and stay focused for the betterment of our children’s futurehellip;we believe it is possible”, she added.
She also called on the people of Amasaman and Troubo to vote massively for Gloria Owusu and Yahya Kassim to represent them in Parliament.
Hon. Naa Torshie presented over 1000 pieces of clothes, branded T-shirts and 100 cedis to the widows.
They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Naa Torshie.Josephine Acheampomaa/[email#160;protected]
