Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang Tours Upper West Region Pays Courtesy Call On Wa Naa

The Running Mate of John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, is embarking on a two-day tour in the Upper West Region.

Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang first paid a courtesy call on Wa Naa, the Paramount Chief of Wa his Royal Majesty, Wa Nagrave;a Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo, at his palace.

On behalf of the Wa Naa, his Royal Majesty, Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, the spokesperson, Naa Ibrahim Kadiri welcomed Jane Naana on behalf of the Paramount Chief and queen mothers of the Waala traditional area.

The spokesperson highlighted that this is the first time Ghana has a woman as a running mate and that they are solely behind and ready to throw their support for her.

Wa Naa further appealed to the running mate, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, requesting that Wa Municipality should be elevated to Metropolitan if the NDC and John Dramani Mahama win power in the December 7 general election.

He also explained that Wa and it's surroundings are suffering from poor road networks and other infrastructure development; as such, they should see to it when the NDC comes to power.

Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang responded to the requests of Wa Naa, noting that all have been taken into consideration.

She also mentioned that their visit to the palace is to introduce the parliamentary candidate of the NDC, Hon. Rashid Pelpuo, to the paramount chief and his elders for endorsement and support in the upcoming general election.
