NPP Sweepers Hits The Streets With NAPO Kennedy Agyapong NANA B OPK And Others

As the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections draws nigh, the ruling new patriotic party (NPP) is deploying tactics to target various voter segments as part of a broader retail campaign.

On September 16, 2024, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Vice Presidential Candidate of NPP, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin Central and Henry Nana Boakye esq., NPP National Organizer, led NPP SWEEPERS, a volunteer group, to a street campaign in parts of the central business area, some principal streets and markets including Kantamanto, Makola and Okaishie.

Napo, Kennedy Agyapong, Nana B and other leaders of the party took turns to address the crowd with a message of hope, in the aftermath of the engagements in the markets and on the streets.

As has become characteristic of the NPP SWEEPERS, their members were spotted in Dr. Bawumia branded T-Shirts displaying placards with messages that focused on the achievements of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led administration and Bawumia-Napo’s bold solutions.

Some of the campaign messages the group projected include 307 Ambulances, Deployment of 50,000 street cameras to enhance security, credible credit scoring system, Free SHS, No Betting Tax, Free Tertiary Education for Persons With Disabilities, Agenda 111 Hospitals, Drone for Medical Deliveries, Training 1 Million Youth in Digital Skills, and Flat Rate Tax policy amongst others.

Hon. Elizabeth K.T Sackey, Accra Mayor, Nii Noi, Klottey Korley Parliamentary Candidate, Abdul Manaf Nii Adjei Sowah, Odododiodoo Parliamentary Candidate and several other dignitaries were also in attendance. It needs stating that the NPP is running a retail campaign underpinned by its performance in the last eight (8) years and it’s comparatively superior bold solutions for the future.
