At Least Im Not Government Official One Bawumia Pokes NDC For Calling Him Liar

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says he is not perturbed by attempts by NDC to label him a liar.

The NDC has been seeing the hashtag #Bawuliar as their way of calling Dr. Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, names.

But at his interaction with the media on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia stressed he is least bothered by the opposition NDC’s efforts to smear his character.

In a quick reply, Dr. Bawumia alluded to similar attitude by the NDC members and fanatics in which they tagged President Nana Akufo Addo as a “murderer and drug addict”, hence, to him, name calling is the stock-in-trade of the NDC.

Dr. Bawumia however jabbed the NDC leader, John Mahama, saying "at least I am not called Government Official One" referring to the description given to the former President in the Airbus corruption scandal

Dr. Bawumia further made reference to a report by the African Academy for Open-Source Investigations (AAOSI) in collaboration with Joy FM which said the labelling of him is NDC’s orchestration to tarnish his image.

He commended Joy FM and the AAOSI for exposing his political opponents and their true character.

"Interestingly, whenever I come up with something and they say it is impossible and that I am lying, we prove them wronghellip; But when we do, they don't come back", he teased the NDC.

Dr. Bawumia proceeded to list a number of his policy proposals which the NDC find it challenging to understand how the policies end up being a success, hence their resort to calling him a “liar” which, he stressed, stems from their “impossibility mindsets”.

The policies, he highlighted, include his Ghana Card initiative which is currently used as a travel document, his medical drone delivery which send health supplies through drones to hospitals and patients, his mobile money interoperability whhas lifted Ghana to the “number one” spot in Africa among others.
