John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the largest National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made a firm commitment to prosecute corrupt appointees of the Akufo-Addo administration should he emerge victorious in this year's elections.
However, the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr says "that's not the way to go".
Speaking to Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' morning show host, Kwami Sefa Kayi the renowned Journalist claims it's not easy to prosecute officials since there are lots of procedures involved.
"It's no walk in the park to prosecute people. Cases like Tsatsu Tsikata, Wereko Brobby, Opuni, and even Ato Forson drag on for a long time, making it a daunting task. Focusing too much on such cases can lead to losing sight of others, and before you know it, your tenure is over," he asserted.
He added, "We must address the pressing issues facing our economy and agriculture. It is crucial that we shift our focus to resolving these obstacles. When someone does something wrong they must be dealt with, but that doesn't mean you should focus on only that . . . alter focus".
