Olam Agris Amit Agrawal Recognized As The CEO Of The Year In Agribusiness For The Third Consecutive Year

Amit Agrawal, president, and regional head, for Olam Agri in Ghana, has been named CEO of Agribusiness for the third consecutive year and also received the Leadership Excellence Award for his exceptional leadership in Agribusiness at the 8th edition of the Ghana CEO Summit held in Accra on Monday.
The CEO of the Year Award is bestowed upon individuals who showed exceptional business practices, remarkable achievements, and exemplary leadership in their respective industries. The recipient must demonstrate a vision for economic growth, highlight significant contributions to the economy, and uphold the highest standards of ethical practices and professionalism.
Organized by the CEO Network Ghana, the CEO Summit, is an annual business leadership forum that draws industry players and policymakers together to discuss Ghana’s potential for private-public sector collaboration in exploring opportunities and ideas for addressing the economy’s most significant obstacles.
The Summit spotlights leaders who have made significant investments in job creation and positively impacted the business community in Ghana over the past year and Amit's third consecutive recognition as ‘CEO of the Year’ underscores his remarkable leadership and vision to position Olam Agri at the heart of Ghana’s industrial and economic growth.
During the Summit, Vice President and National Head of Sales, Soumya Saxena for Olam Agri’s Grains business, opened the conversation on sustainability as a value lever for business. He highlighted several key sustainable initiatives by Olam Agri in the baking industry, including the maiden Ghana Hygiene Standard Management (GHSM) Programme, which aims to improve bakers' hygiene standards in Ghana. Soumya also took the chance to explain why sustainability is good for business and charged industry leaders to help push the sustainability agenda in the country.
