The presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International Ministry, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has disclosed that his vote will, this time around, not go to the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) in the December 7, 2024, general elections.
Speaking to his congregation in a video shared on social media platform X, the charismatic preacher said he plans to be very wise with what he does with his vote during the upcoming elections.
"If you love this country and you care about this country, it is one election in the history of Ghana that everybody should vote for. I intend this time around not to vote for CPP, but I will vote wisely and intelligently as I am inspired and as I exercise conscience about this election.
"I won't tell you who I will give my vote to, but I am watching; I am thinking and exercising conscience. So, I can be very wise with what I do with my vote because my vote counts and your vote counts. May your vote be for the good of Ghana and not for a selfish interest," Archbishop Duncan Williams stated.
The December 7 presidential and parliamentary election promises to be keenly contested, especially among the two leading partiesmdash;the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress.
Whereas the NPP is poised to win the elections and break the 8-year governance cycle for political parties, the NDC has vowed to wrestle power from the NPP and not sit in opposition beyond eight years.
The battleground has already been set for the two parties in the 2024 general elections. It remains to be seen who wins the elections.
