Andre Onana Could Quit International Football Again After Dismal AFCON

Andre Onana is considering his future in international football after returning from Cameroon's failed Africa Cup of Nations campaign, Confidential can reveal.
The Manchester United goalkeeper flew back from the tournament in Ivory Coast on Monday and is set to play in Thursday's Premier League clash with Wolves at Molineux.
Despite huge interest in Onana's participation in Afcon, he featured in just one of Cameroon's four games before they went out at the last 16 stage to Nigeria on Saturday.
The 27-year-old's lack of game time and an ongoing rift with Cameroon FA president Samuel Eto'o may convince him to quit international football for the second time in just over a year.
Onana retired in December 2022 after he was kicked out of Cameroon's World Cup camp in Qatar following a fall-out with Eto'o and coach Rigobert Song, but made a U-turn in September just weeks after joining United from Inter Milan in a pound;47.2million deal.
Cameroon were sympathetic to the fact that his decision caught United by surprise and allowed Onana to stay in England long after the Afcon deadline so he could play in the last Premier League game against Tottenham.
The player was hoping to be on the bench for Cameroon's first group game against Guinea 24 hours later, but only arrived in Ivory Coast shortly before kick-off after his flight was diverted due to fog.
Onana was recalled for the defeat to holders Senegal, then dropped for the remaining two games against Gambia and Nigeria as Cameroon went out in the first knockout round.
It meant that the only game he missed for United was Sunday's FA Cup win at Newport County where No.2 Altay Bayindir was handed a debut.
Onana, who was ever-present this season up to that point, returned to Manchester from Abidjan via Paris on Monday and is expected to regain his place at Wolves.
