Akuapem South NPP Delegates Pleads With The Regional And National Executives To Address Their Issues
Sat, 27 Jan 2024 06:00
The Akuapem South delegates of the NPP have plead with the Regional and national leadership of the New Patriotic Party to promptly address the issues that have resulted in the postponement of the constituency parliamentary primaries.
The power play between the MP (O.B Amoah) and the MCE (Frank Aidoo), each of whom has significantly benefited from and served 16 and 8 years respectively, is creating significant cracks and tension within the party.
These internal issues could easily impact the upcoming election.
"We, the delegates, strongly believe that the party appears to be under the influence of these two purportedly "potent" individuals within the constituency. As an alternative, we seek leadership that can unite the party and garner more votes to secure victory."
We urge the party to expedite the conduct of our elections in order to address these divisions and progress as a united front. As delegates, we have already identified a candidate who can unify the party and secure more votes to break the 8.
