STATEMENT This Wont Happen Again Ashanti Chairmen To Nana B
Tue, 23 Jan 2024 16:00
On Thursday, 18th January 2024, the Constituency Chairman for the Manhyia South Constituency, Richard Ofori Atta, also known as Tom Tom, issued a statement “threatening and daring” the National Organiser of our party, Henry Nana Boakye, affectionately known as Nana B.
Since our able national leadership, out of respect and regard for our traditions and traditional leadership, have started engaging our Nananom, it would be improper for us to go into the particular issue which triggered this unfortunate conduct from the constituency chairman for Manhyia South.
We will, however, on behalf of all constituency chairmen in the Ashanti Region, render an unqualified apology to our National Organiser and the entire National leadership, for the inappropriate conduct demonstrated towards Nana B by the Constituency Chairman.
It is an act of utter disrespect to authority which should not be encouraged in our party. We extend the same apologies to our immediate superiors, the Ashanti Regional leadership of our beloved party.
This is a conduct which should not have even been demonstrated towards a regional officer, not to speak of a national officer. We believe Tom Tom did not mean to disrespect the national officer, the reason why he failed to carry out any “threat” that he had indicated in his press release.
We would also want to assure our national and regional leadership that, going forward, the leadership of the constituency chairmen will ensure that no such reprehensible conduct happens again. We thank you for your understanding.
