Sports Journalist, Saddick Adams, popularly called 'Sports Obama', says there is no hope for the Black Stars of Ghana to win the World Cup in Qatar.
The World Cup starts on Monday, November 21, 2022 and the Black Stars will play against Portugal on Thursday, November 24, 2022, then proceed to play against Uruguay and South Korea before it can progress to the next stage.
To 'Sports Obama', the Black Stars stand no chance of defeating their competitors and that there should be a draw or win in any of the games for the national team, it should be counted as "bonus".
"This is why we are the only ones organizing national prayers. We are the only ones among all the nations going to the World Cup officially organizing national prayers. We know our problems. Apart from prayers, there is nothing that can make Ghana say we are favorites in any of the games.
"I want people to understand that we are just going to the World Cup, any draw or win is a bonus . . . if we raise our hopes too much, we will be disappointed," he said while making his submissions on Peace FM's'Kokrokoo' panel discussion program.
"Ghana doesn't have any chance going into this World Cup," he stressed.'
The Head of the Sports at Angel FM also noted that "among all the teams going (to the World Cup), we are the worst. According to FIFA rankings on those who have played the qualifiers and their form, we are last among them".
