Dr. Sonnie Badu surprised everyone with his performance on Rhythms of Africa last weekend, revealing that even his team was unaware of what he was going to do.
During his interview with Abeiku Santana on Okayfm, He acknowledged the miracle that gave him strength to stand and move without crutches, which as driven by his dedication to the concert. Despite bruising his leg during the show, he had it stitched later
“Even my team did not know what I was going to do on that day’s performance, personally I wouldn’t rule out the fact that there was a miracle, and the miracle was the strength I had to stand and dance, and if I look at how hard I’ve worked towards this concert and how my kids would one day ask me why I was in clutches, I had to gather strength to do it without the clutches and I’ll deal with the pain after. I bruised it and I didn’t care bruising it. So right now right here I have had myself stitched.”He said.
This revelation follows social media speculation suggesting that Dr. Sonnie Badu may have faked his leg injury, fueled by his energetic performance at the popular Gospel concert, Rhythms of Africa.
In response, Badu drew comparisons to top footballers who, despite injuries, are occasionally permitted to play temporarily. His actions reveal a commitment to his audience and a determination to deliver an unforgettable show, despite personal obstacles.
