If President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo decides to not hearken to the calls to sack the Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and nonetheless retains him in workplace, he will probably be extra useless goat than former President John Dramani Mahama, a Professor on the University of Ghana Ransford Gympo has stated.

Regarding the movement to take away the Finance Minister from workplace, the Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has set a committee to research the allegations made towards him by the Minority in Parliament for which they filed a movement to get him faraway from workplace.
The 8-member committee, co-chaired by Dr Dominic Ayine and KT Hammond, lawmakers for Bolgatanga East and Adansi-Asokwa respectively, has inside seven working days to finish its work and submit the report
The Speaker's ruling got here after the Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament Alexander Afenyo-Markin challenged the movement of the Minority on the idea that the Finance Minister will endure injustice if the House goes forward with the appliance.
Mr Afenyo-Markin indicated that the claims by the Minority have been felony in nature upon a correct scrutiny.

Justifying the movement to get the Finance Minister eliminated, the Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu stated President Akufo-Addo was not able to sack the Minister.
Therefore, he appealed to the Majority Members of Parliament to assist the transfer to get him eliminated.
In his ruling on this matter, Speaker Bagbin stated after saying the formation of the committee that “The proof will probably be positioned earlier than the committee. The Minister can have the chance to defend himself.
“A report will be presented to the House, and we will debate that report.”
