British Airways will enable male pilots to put on make-up and carry purses in an overhaul of the airliner's strict uniform guidelines.

Airline bosses reportedly instructed workers in an inside memo yesterday 'be daring, be proud, be your self' and mentioned they hoped the refreshed steerage could be 'embraced by everybody no matter gender, gender identification, ethnicity, background, tradition, sexual identification, or in any other case'.

BA was mentioned to be nearing the top of a assessment of its longstanding uniform coverage after rival Virgin Atlantic introduced it was making its conventional female and male uniform gender-neutral.
