Hammer Announces Return To Music

After a decade absence, renowned Ghanaian sound engineer and producer Edward Nana Poku, often known as Hammer in the music scene, has declared plans to rejoin the industry.
Hammer, the founder and leader of the Last 2 Music Group, has played an instrumental role in the promotion of Ghanaian music.
While he was away, he took a day job as Managing Partner and Head of Sales/Marketing at A1 Bread Factory.
As one of the well-known Ghanaian sound engineers in the country with international recognition and countless awards, Hammer announced on his official Facebook page that his resignation from the bread organization is necessitated by a music project he has been working on.
According to him, balancing time between his day job and the production of the album has delayed the release of the project, hence his decision to take a back seat from the organization.
“The problem is, this albumrsquo;s completion has become protracted due to my trying to balance the demands of my creative process and my day job as managing partner and head of sales/marketing at A1 Bread, all whilst simultaneously trying to manage Red Eyersquo;s comeback album as wellhellip; so I had to make a decision.
“Irsquo;m glad to report that A1 Bread has accepted my resignation in good faith to allow me to focus on my return to music, and my decision to resign from my day job will not impact my standing in the organization as an equity stakeholder whatsoever,” he wrote.
He, however, noted that his return to music will also not affect his retail and distribution deal with Ekumfi Juice.
“Ekumfi Juice, on the other hand, isnrsquo;t as demanding because wersquo;re only key distributors of the brand; thus, the team will persist serving you the best pineapple juice in the world today. Look out for my new album lsquo;Upper Echelonrsquo; in early 2024,” he noted.
Hammerrsquo;s name is etched in the annals of hiplife for producing a lot of the influential hiplife artistes at the primordial stages of the genre.
He is famed for working with talents such as Obrafour, Kwaw Kese, Tinny, Edem, Sarkodie, Mantse, among others.
