Mr. Chris Atadika, a prominent member of the communication team of the organisers of the #OccupyJulorBiHouse demonstration has expressed his views on the role youth activism can play in shaping Ghana's future.
The #OccupyJulorBiHouse protest, which took place in Accra, saw many concerned citizens expressing their discontent with Ghana’s poor economic situation.
During an interview on Okay FM's Ekwansodwoodwoo program, Mr Atadika clarified that the recent protest was not aimed at advocating for a coup, but rather to draw the attention of government authorities to the importance of doing what is right.
He said, “There is a prevailing misconception that Ghana’s youth are advocating for a coup. Our message is clear: we do not seek coup; we demand proper governance.”
Meanwhile, Atadika has expressed his dismay at how the Ghanaian police handled the protesters.
