Ofosu-Ampofo Loses Mum - Suspends Campaign - PHOTO | Politics

Incumbent National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has briefly suspended all marketing campaign actions.
This follows the demise of his mom, Madam Mary Gyawubea Badu, on Monday, October 31 on the Koforidua Regional Hospital. She was 84.
Announcing the demise on his official Facebook web page, Mr Ofosu-Ampofo, who's being challenged by General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia for the National Chairmanship place, described his mum as a “matriarch and rock” of his household.
“In view of this, I am temporarily suspending all campaign activities as together with the rest of the family, we reflect and mourn the passing of the woman who shaped our very beings.”
He concluded: “On behalf of my family and I, I thank all those who have reached out to us with encouragement and those who have spared thoughts and prayers in these very difficult times. Let's keep hope alive.”
