Former Minister of State at the office of the President and former member of Parliament for Evalue Gwira constituency, Catherine Afeku has cautioned parliamentary aspirants to avoid attaching the images of presidential aspirants to theirs in order to solicit for votes.
According to her, preaching your campaign messages for delegates to absorb is more appropriate rather than luring them with the images of aspirants.
She stated that delegates cast their vote on the basis of vision and messages hence parliamentary aspirants should sell themselves to voters without attaching presidential hopefuls“ because we are yet to determine who will become our flagbearer and eventually president.
In an exclusive interview with Samuel Eshun on the Happy Morning Show on Happy98.9Fm, the Former Minister of Tourism Arts and Culture said she was optimistic the NPP delegates would not make any unpardonable mistake, and elect any of the aspirants other than Mr. Kyeremanten who has been confirmed by the people to lead the NPP to win the Election 2024.
“We have done three regions, a cluster and durbar for delegates and they have agreed that it is Alan’s time.”
She beseeched the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party to caution aspirants against the use of flagbearers’ images since “it is a total violation of the party’s constitution.”
