Gov't To Partner Rand Refinery To Obtain LBMA Certificate – Veep | General News

The Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia says the government is able to collaborate with the board and administration of Rand Refinery to assist Ghana get hold of London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Certification.
Underscoring the significance of the LBMA certificates to the government's plan to develop the mineral business and make Ghana a key participant within the refinery of mineral assets, Dr Bawumia stated attaining the certification would propel Ghana to take part and totally exploit the advantages within the mineral worth chain .
He said that the gamut of expertise and experience of the certification made them strategic and helpful companions to Ghana and that partnering them would assist the nation evade the blunders different nation's dedicated on their journey to creating refinery hubs of their mining sector, “because you have a very long history in this area and also help us not to repeat mistakes of others”.
Dr Bawumia made these remarks when the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel A. Jinapor led the delegation from Rand Refinery to name on the Vice President on Monday, in Accra.
