Dani Alves 'Facing £4m Claim From Former Club UNAM Pumas For Breach Of Contract And £2m Tax Bill In Spain' | Soccer/Soccer

Dani Alves could be liable to pay over £6million with Mexican club UNAM Pumas looking for over £4million in damages, while the Brazilian also owes more than £2m in tax in Spain.

The 39-year-old remains in prison after he was arrested on grounds of sexual assault last month.

According to UOL Esporte, UNAM Pumas are trying to claim damages for breach of contract.

And a new report has revealed that he owes €2.25m (£2.02million) to the Treasury having accumulated millionaires debts.According to El Confidencial, Dani Alves' 60-square-meter flat in Sant Feliu de Llobregat has been foreclosed due to his debt to the Spanish taxman.

They also added that there is a 655-square-meter house in Esplugues de Llobregat, that belongs to both Alves and his ex-wife, Dinorah Santa Ana, and the Spanish tax authorities have seized his share.

The Brazilian footballer has agreed to turn in his passport and wear a tracking device if he is set free pending the sexual assault investigation against him, his lawyers said in an appeal filed to a Spanish court this week.

Alves was provisionally detained in January after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a nightclub on December 30.

A judge ordered the veteran player to be jailed without bail after analyzing the initial probe by authorities and hearing testimony from Alves, the alleged victim and a witness.

Alves has denied any wrongdoing.
