John Boadu Urges Ghanaians To Vote For Continuity

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has urged Ghanaians to give the NPP another term in office to ensure the completion of countless transformational projects being undertaken in the country’s State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) under the auspices of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA).

Speaking at a public forum, Mr. Boadu emphasized the significant strides made by the NPP government in reforming and strengthening SOEs, which are vital to Ghana’s economic development.

He attributed the successes to the establishment of SIGA, which has enhanced governance, accountability, and performance in these state entities.

“The NPP government, through SIGA, has embarked on several landmark projects across various SOEs aimed at modernizing infrastructure, boosting productivity, and creating jobs for Ghanaians.

Details:

These projects are a testament to the vision and commitment of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration to make SOEs engines of growth,” he stated.

John Boadu cited projects such as the revamping of Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), expansion of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), and modernization efforts at the Ghana Airports organization Limited (GACL).

Significant Investments:

He also highlighted significant investments in the Ghana Water organization Limited (GWCL) to improve water supply, as well as reforms in the Electricity organization of Ghana (ECG) to enhance efficiency and decrease losses.

“These projects are changing the narrative of our SOEs. They are now more effective, accountable, and profitable, thanks to the reforms championed by SIGA under the NPP government. These achievements must not be taken for granted,” he stressed.

Caution:

Mr. Boadu cautioned that a alter in government could jeopardize the continuity and sustainability of these efforts, warning that uncompleted projects might be abandoned or mismanaged.

“If there is a alter of government, these projects, which are the lifeblood of Ghana’s development, will go to waste. We cannot afford that,” he added.

Appeal:

He appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP in the upcoming elections to protect these gains and ensure the completion of all ongoing projects.

“The NPP has demonstrated that it has the competence, vision, and leadership to manage the affairs of the state. Let’s vote for continuity to secure the future of our SOEs and, by extension, the nation.”

John Boadu concluded by reaffirming the party’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and growth, assuring Ghanaians that the NPP would persist to work tirelessly to transform the country’s SOEs into globally competitive entities.King Edward Ambrose Washman/
