CIMG President Urges Ghanaians to Uphold Peace Pact Ahead of Elections

The President of Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG), Dr. Daniel Kasser-Tee has urged every Ghanaian to honour the peace pact signed by the 12 presidential candidates a few days ago, and to commit to upholding the peace, unity, and democratic maturity that make Ghana a shining example on the African continent.

He called on Ghanaians to approach the elections with respect, tolerance, and civility, ensuring that Ghana remains a beacon of hope and stability.

Speaking at the 33rd Presidential Ball, Dr. Daniel Kasser-Tee said “together, we can prove that our democracy is not just about voting but about building bridges of understanding and fostering a culture of mutual respect”.

Speaking on the theme “Harnessing the Power of AI as a Transformative Tool for Marketers," Dr. Kasser-Tee said Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a pivotal force, reshaping the way businesses connect with consumers, analyse data, and develop tactics and therefore it offers unparalleled opportunities to gain deep insights, enhance efficiency, and deliver personalised experiences that resonate with the audience.

He urged practitioners and leaders in the field of marketing to embrace this technological revolution, not merely as a tool, but as a transformative catalyst that will redefine the future of our profession.

“In reflecting on the transformative power of AI, it is vital to consider its broader implications. AI is not just a tool for enhancing marketing tactics; it is a force that can drive societal alter. We must leverage AI to gain deeper insights into consumer behaviour, tailor our messaging to meet the distinct needs of our diverse audiences, and create more inclusive and equitable marketing practices. The potential of AI extends beyond mere technological advancement; as it offers us the chance to create a more connected, informed, and empowered society”, he mentioned.

Dr. Kasser-Tee called for vigilance about the ethical implications of AI as the nation harnesses the power of AI.

“AI must be embraced and used in a manner that respects privacy, promotes transparency, and upholds the highest standards of integrity. As marketers, we have a responsibility to ensure that ethical considerations guide the deployment of AI and that it serves to enhance, rather than undermine, the trust that consumers place in us. By adhering to these principles, we can harness the transformative potential of AI while safeguarding the values that underpin our profession”.

CIMG Inducted New Members

The ceremony saw the induction of new members into CIMG.

This included a cohort of Chartered Marketers who are poised to make significant contributions to the practice and teaching of marketing.

Dr. Kasser-Tee extended his heartfelt congratulations to the new inductees.

“Your journey to this point has been marked by dedication, hard work, and a commitment to excellence. As you embark on this new chapter of your professional lives, I encourage you to approach your careers with passion, innovation, and integrity. Remember that you are now part of a distinguished legacy that stands for excellence, leadership, and the relentless pursuit of marketing brilliance”, he concluded.
