Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reiterated his faith in the sovereign power of God in his pursuit to become Ghana's next President.
Dr. Bawumia visited the Hebron Prayer Camp at Medie in the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency Tuesday morning where thousands of worshipers have been praying for days.
Addressing the worshipers who gave him a rapturous reception during his visit, Dr. Bawunia expressed gratitude to them for praying for the country and affirmed his faith in the will of God.
"I have been told that over the past days, you have been praying and fasting for the country and I want to thank you. May God listen to your prayers and may He also bless you...On December 7, we will be voting to elect a new leader for our country as well as new Members of Parliament. I believe that it is only God who installs leaders, so whatever we do without God, it is in vain", Dr. Bawumia said.
He continued; "As the Bible says if the Lord does not build the house, we labour in vain. Men cannot do it but with God, all things are possible...Again, as it is said in the Bible, His ways are not our ways. God works in so many ways that we cannot understand. If you look at how in the Bible God used Cyrus to help the Israelites, God can also use Dr. Bawumia to help our country, Ghana. So, we need your prayers and I believe all of us need prayers."
