Opare Kwarfo Hands Over New 3 Unit Classroom Block To Marfokrom DA JHS

The Adehyehene of Akuapem Awhirase, who is also the CEO of Jilcon Construction and Petroleum, Nana Opare Kwarfo I, has single-handedly built a contemporary Junior High School (JHS) block with a computer lab, a library and a teachers' office for Marfokrom DA JHS, his alma mater in the Ayensuano district.
The JHS facility was previously in a deplorable state, which made academic activities unattractive to students in the community.
This situation compelled many students to travel to nearby communities for their JHS education.
This test motivated the royal to provide the community with such a facility to help improve the standard of education and make learning attractive to students.
During the handing over and dedication ceremony of the facility, Nana Opare Kwarfo I highlighted the importance of education in one's life.
He challenged the notion that there are remote areas in the contemporary world, noting that the presence of electricity eliminates the concept of villages.
He emphasized the need for social amenities to enhance the living conditions of residents, which inspired his decision to build such a facility for the community.
He also donated some teaching and learning materials to the school to augment the existing resources as he has consistently supported the school in various ways.
The facility was renamed in his honor as Nana Opare Kwarfo I D/A JHS.
The headteacher of Nana Opare Kwarfo I D/A JHS, Mohammed Kassim, expressed his gratitude to Nana Opare Kwarfo for his tremendous support for education and his unwavering dedication to the school's activities.
According to him, the school has faced several obstacles with infrastructure and er, thanks to Nana Opare Kwarfo's interventions, they are witnessing significant transformation, and they expressed their appreciation to the chief for his continuous support.
He acknowledged that during the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), the school receives both financial and material support from the chief. The Chief of Marfokrom, Nana Dwomo Marfo V, expressed his surprise and delight at the contributions of his son, Nana Opare Kwarfo, to the community.
He thanked him for his countless contributions towards the community's development, particularly in the areas of health, education, and other social amenities.
Finally, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ayensuano District, Mama Josephine Ansah Nkoom, also commended and thanked Nana Opare Kwarfo for his contributions towards the growth of the District.
