Presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, says when he is given power again in the December 7 polls, his government's commitment to accountability will be "unwavering".
His reason is that his government "will establish a robust code of conduct and standards for all government officials to ensure their integrity and accountability."
Sharing some insights from his encounter with traditional leaders in the Upper West region during his tour in the region on social media [October 14, 2024], the former President said, "I have shared with Ghanaians that I will not only nominate my complete list of cabinet ministers for parliamentary approval within the first 14 days of my office but also constitute the LEANEST AND MOST effective government under the Fourth Republic in my first 90 days in office."
Similarly, he added, "I will hold a National Economic Dialogue, a crucial platform for all of us to discuss the true state of the economy and prepare a homegrown fiscal consolidation programme to guide the budget."
