Independent presidential candidate, Nana Kwame Bediako popularly as known Cheddar has unveiled Dr. Maryam Esaka Kriesie as his vice presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
He unveiled Dr Maryam Esaka Kriesie on social media in a post on X on Friday night.
He wrote, "I am pleased to announce that I’ll be embarking on this remarkable journey for presidency with Dr. Maryam Esaka Kriesie as my running mate, the right mate!" Bediako wrote, using the hashtags #GhanaWillWorkAgain and #VoteNumber12.

According to a profile provided by Nana Kwame Bediako, Dr. Maryam Issaka Kriese is a finance professional and academic, recognised for her contributions to the financial sector in Ghana.
She worked as a Senior Manager at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ghana, where she provided strategic oversight of investments, licensing capital market operators, and developing key regulations that have bolstered the integrity and growth of Ghana's capital markets.
Dr. Kriese taught at the University of Ghana Business School and the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
