Tragic Fire Claims Four Lives At Kpone Kokompe

A devastating fire at Kpone Kokompe on Friday, September 13, 2024, has tragically claimed the lives of four people, including a 14-year-old girl, two boys aged 11 and 2, and a 27-year-old man.
The fire, which started at 11:28 pm, quickly spread, engulfing 10 wooden structures and destroying personal belongings, furniture, and home appliances.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in a statement said it arrived on the scene at 11:47 p.m. and worked swiftly to bring the blaze under control by 12:31 a.m. and fully extinguish it by 12:55am.
However, it was later discovered that the 27-year-old man, who had returned home unexpectedly, was not accounted for, resulting in his tragic death alongside the three children.
The fire has left the community in mourning, and the GNFS has expressed its condolences to the bereaved families and all affected by the tragedy.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures, limiting further damage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Earlier today, the Tema Regional Fire Commander, ACFO II Patrick Sallah, and other officers visited the affected families to offer their condolences and evaluate the extent of the damage.graphiconline
