Ghana Needs Character in Leadership Bawumia Has That Kwabena Agyapong Extols Veep

Former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyapong has lauded the character of the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, stating that Ghana needs such character for leadership.

Kwabena Agyapong, who was one of the Presidential aspirants for the NPP mentioned that, Ghana needs a leader with the right character to lead and transform the country; a country traits he sees in the Vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Speaking on Peace FM’s 'Kokrokoo' morning show on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Mr. Agyapong said, “Dr. Bawumia is a compassionate leader. His burning desire to serve the people of Ghana is incomparable. I decided to lend my support as he embarks on his campaign not because of his humility because that is already in public information. I joined Dr. Bawumia because we have observed that he is not materialistic and he is not envious of anyone."

"We need character for leadership in our country; and by character, I mean good character. Character is a requirement in our country today. We need someone who is respectful, has much love for his people and will go the extent of uniting his presidential primary opponents. For the first time, a presidential candidate rather came knocking on the doors of the all his contenders, uniting them to embark on a common vision for the future of Ghana.”

He further stated that, Dr. Bawumia stands tall as one person Ghana can count on to bring transformation. He maintained that, Ghana needs transformation; a transformation that is driven with passion for which Dr. Bawumia comes unopposed.Kobina Darlington/
