EPA In Collaboration with UN Hold Dialogue on Climate Change

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the United Nations, has facilitated a dialogue focused on global response measures to tackle climate alter adaptation.

The event gathered 70 participants from 36 countries, highlighting the international commitment to addressing climate obstacles.

In an interview with Peace FM News, Dr. Antwi Boasiako, Director of Climate Vulnerability and Adaptation at the EPA, stressed the significance of global cooperation in adapting to the effects of climate alter.

He noted that there are multiple tactics for combating climate alter, including the use of advanced technologies, the formulation of robust policies, and other adaptive measures aimed at mitigating its effects.

Dr. Boasiako further underscored the importance of swiftly implementing these global response measures to ensure the well-being and safety of individuals, particularly within vulnerable regions.

Dr Antwi-Boasiako also emphasized on the role of the Environmental Protection Agency in the adaptation of climate alter among vulnerable regions.

Chair of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice, Mr. Harry Vreuls also stated that it is vital that countries consider not only the immediate benefits but also the long-term impacts, ensuring that their actions promote sustainability, equity, growth and resilience.

He said by thoroughly evaluating these impacts, the countries can create solutions that are both effective and inclusive, leaving no one behind in their fight against climate alter.Clinton Amoako/Peace FM Newsroom
