NDC Announces Annulment and a Rerun of Amenfi Central Parliamentary Primaries

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the annulment of and a rerun of the Amenfi Central Parliamentary Primaries after the elections was subjected to litigation at the Sekondi High court.
In a press release dated 4th September, 2024, and signed by the party’s General Secretary, the Functional Executive Committee of the NDC at its meeting on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, decided to annul the parliamentary primaries that was conducted in Amenfi Central on May 13, 2023.
The NDC further announced that in view of the above annulment, the party has decided to open fresh nominations for the conduct of the Primaries in Amenfi Central constituency so that a new Parliamentary candidate could be selected ahead of the December 7 Presidential and parliamentary elections.
Mr. Fifi Kwetey added that the nominations will be opened on Friday, September 6, 2024 and will be filed on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Vetting of aspirants will be conducted on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
