The Ankos Festival also known as Takoradi street carnival or Masquerade Festival is an annual event celebrated by the people of Takoradi.
The main attraction is dozens of groups of people or teams dressing in wild outfits to display their skills and arts via dance.
The festival is usually celebrated from December 24th to 26th of every year, and is popular with tourists.
In the video below, our Photo Editor, Douglas Anane Frimpong, captured Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, the Western Regional Minister, displaying his dancing skills as he led the Christmas carnival in Takoradi.
