On Saturday, 31st August 2024, the Gyamfikrom Electoral Area was honored to host the New Juaben North NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Nana Osei-Adjei, in a significant town hall meeting at Dabiasem. This event was not just a gathering; it was a testament to the strong and growing bond between the NPP and the diverse communities within our constituency. The meeting, attended by esteemed party leaders led by the Constituency Chairman Ernest Oti-Akenteng, including former Municipal Chief Executives Madam Comfort Asante and Hon. Edward Asante Antwi, was a resounding success, marked by vibrant discussions, insightful speeches, and a reaffirmation of the NPP's commitment to development and progresshellip;
The venue, Dabiasem, a suburb predominantly inhabited by the Fulani community, served as a fitting backdrop for this engagement. As the Assemblyman for Gyamfikrom Electoral Area, I had the privilege of addressing the gathering, highlighting the transformative projects that have been realized under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
"Dabiasem is now developed as we’re all witnesses, all because of the construction of the main Dabiasem road, which was completed by the NPP government as part of the Year of Roads Project under the leadership of our current Member of Parliament, Hon. Akwasi Adjei Boateng," I noted. This development is a clear indication of the NPP's commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for all Ghanaians, particularly in areas that were previously neglected. It is crucial that we recognize these advancements and vote massively for the NPP to persist enjoying such benefitshellip;
In my address, I emphasized the NPP's distinct role in initiating and sustaining social interventions that uplift the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. From the free maternal healthcare introduced by Former President John Agyekum Kufuor to the transformative Free SHS policy under President Nana Addo, the NPP has consistently invested in the well-being of the people. These interventions have had a profound impact on the lives of millions, and it is imperative that we vote to retain the NPP in power to build on these successes under the capable leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumiahellip;
I also urged the community to support Nana Osei-Adjei as our Parliamentary Candidate, alongside Dr. Bawumia for President. "It is significant to note that as we vote for Dr. Bawumia, we should as well vote for Nana Osei-Adjei as the Member of Parliament to win massively. That is the only way we can be assured of development in our electoral area," I statedhellip;
When Nana Osei-Adjei took the stage, he echoed the sentiments of many in the gathering, reaffirming the NPP’s dedication to the welfare of Ghanaians. He highlighted the transformative policies implemented under the current administration, which are positively impacting lives across the country. "The NPP, under the leadership of President Nana Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has introduced countless policies that are changing the lives and livelihoods of many Ghanaians. It is incumbent on us to vote for continuity," he passionately arguedhellip;
Nana Osei-Adjei also made a historic declaration that resonated deeply with the audience: "This will be the first time in the history of Ghana under the 4th Republic that Ghana is going to have a Muslim President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and First Lady Samira Bawumia, who is a Fulani, one of your own. I will plead with you to vote massively for the NPP on December 7th for this historic event to happen." The response was electric, with the crowd fully energized and motivated by the possibility of making historyhellip;
He concluded by calling on all party members to intensify their efforts as we approach the crucial December 7th elections. "As we move to our homes, I encourage everyone to up the house-to-house campaigning in the constituency to every corner. We should visit every house, every room, every bed to campaign for the NPP to break the 8," he urgedhellip;
The town hall meeting was not just an event but a movement; a collective resolve by the people of Gyamfikrom Electoral Area and beyond to support the NPP's vision for a prosperous Ghana. The discussions were lively, with questions asked and answers provided, ensuring that everyone left informed and determined to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia and Nana Osei-Adjeihellip;
As the meeting drew to a close, it was evident that the people were not only supportive but were ready to make their voices heard in the upcoming elections. The unity and enthusiasm displayed at Dabiasem are a strong indication that the NPP is on track to secure a resounding victory in December. Together, we are poised to break the 8 and usher in a new era of continued development and prosperity for all Ghanaians.Michael Akrofi
