Alleged Discrepancies In Provisional Voter RegisterNDC Calls For Emergency Meeting With EC

The opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC) has demanded an emergency meeting with the Electoral Commission of Ghana over a discussion regarding the voters’ exhibition exercise.
The General Secretary of the NDC, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, in a letter to the EC alleged that there were some discrepancies in the ongoing voters’ exhibition exercise for which they demand a clarity.
According to Mr. Kwetey, an analysis of the provisional voter register reveals many discrepancies that need urgent attention, he however stopped short of revealing what the anomalies are.
The exhibition exercise commenced on the Tuesday, August 20 and is expected to last till Tuesday, 27th August, 2024. This exercise provides an avenue for electorates to have their names checked in the voters register in order to avoid any inconveniences during the upcoming December 7 elections.

We bring you greetings from the NDC Party Headquarters, Accra and trust that this letter finds you well.
We write to request an significant emergency meeting with you and your team to discuss very serious discrepancies discovered during the ongoing 2024 voter exhibition exercise. The discrepancies emanate from analysis of the Provisional Voter Register (PVR) given to us by the Commission, and registers being exhibited at the centres.
