Mahama Appears to be Out of Touch with the Realities Facing Ghanaians Richard Ahiagba

The Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagba, has taken a swipe at the former President and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, describing him as being out of touch with the realities Ghanaians are currently facing.
Richard Ahiagba’s statement is stemmed out of the recent manifesto launch by the NDC at the Jophus Anamoah-Mensah conference centre at the University of Education, Winneba on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
According to him, all the initiatives the flagbearer of the NDC intends to undertake have already been implemented by the President Akufo-Addo.
Posting on his officially X Page on Sunday, August 25, 2024, Mr. Ahiagba wrote, “John Mahama appears to be out of touch with the realities facing Ghanaians. It seems he either has a short memory or has entirely forgotten that many of the key initiatives he is proposing are already being implemented by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration, which he claims has done nothing.”
He further stated that, the former President’s proposals are mere repetition of what the NPP had captured in the Bawumia-led manifesto.
According to Richard Ahiagba, John Mahama lacks fresh ideas hence, his desire to keep dubbing from the ideas of the NPP.
He said, “Mahama’s latest proposals seem to be a mere repetition of the essential parts of the NPP Manifesto, embellished with different wording to appear original but lacking any fresh ideas. Ghanaians witnessed Mahama's presidency from 7th January 2013 to 7th January 2017, and the collective judgment was a decisive rejection.”
“What is new this time seems to be a rebranded attempt to deceive Ghanaians, much like a so-called miracle herbal remedy being marketed as a cure-all for every test facing the country.”

John Mahama appears to be out of touch with the realities facing Ghanaians. It seems he either has a short memory or has entirely forgotten that many of the key initiatives he is proposing are already being implemented by the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration, which he claims has done nothing.
Mahama’s latest proposals seem to be a mere repetition of the essential parts of the NPP Manifesto, embellished with different wording to appear original but lacking any fresh ideas. Ghanaians witnessed Mahama's presidency from 7th January 2013 to 7th January 2017, and the collective judgment was a decisive rejection.
What is new this time seems to be a rebranded attempt to deceive Ghanaians, much like a so-called miracle herbal remedy being marketed as a cure-all for every test facing the country.
This raises several crucial questions:
1. Where does John Mahama plan to find the funding for all the free initiatives he promises, especially when he claims the economy is bankrupt?
2. Is Mahama aware that Starlink will be operational in Ghana by the end of August 2024?
3. Does he know that automobile assembly is already underway in Ghana?
4. Is he aware that the current government has been heavily investing in free Technical and Vocational Education and Training since 2022?
5. When did Mahama suddenly realize that traditional grammar schools are outdated?
This first-half presentation by Mahama raises more questions than answers. The whole "Reset" campaign appears to be nothing more than an effort to mislead Ghanaians into thinking the NDC is offering a new version. Ghana will not return to the tried and failed leadership of John Mahama. We will not buy the Reset to go back. We are moving forward to a future of possibilities...Kobina Darlington/
