Over 80 NPP MPs have threatened to boycott Parliament ought to the President fail to heed their request.

Addressing a press convention on Tuesday, the MPs said, “if our request is not responded to positively, we will not be present for the budget hearing, neither will we participate in the debate”.

New Patriotic Party(NPP) Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency, Eugene Boakye Antwi, in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" morning present, reiterated that, "if he says he won't let Ken Ofori-Atta go we are going to boycott all government business in Parliament".

"We have demonstrated to this country that there are genuine, honest, patriotic Ghanaians who have the country at heart . . . if he says he won't remove Ken he should add Parliament to the Execuitve and rule Ghana with Ken Ofori-Atta, " he furiously added.

Hon Boakye Antwi believed the Finance Minister "seems to be experimenting with this country and we've had enough".

To Err Is Human

But to James Kwabena Bomfeh, popularly referred to as 'Kabila', the President is merely human and never immune to creating errors, therefore suggested the populace to melt their stance on him.

He famous that the President can't be fully blamed for Ghana's financial crises, asking "is there not a cause?"

He argued that, "everything that is going on today is the result of things that have built up over the years".

Using the biblical account of the lifetime of King Solomon, Kabila urged the citizenry to hope for God to provide the President 'knowledge' to rule.

"In these times, we need to pray for the President for God to help him to take the right steps . . . I pray for the wisdom that God blessed Solomon with for President Akufo-Addo. He is human; he's done a lot of things as President. They have not all gone the way we wanted but we shouldn't be speaking like the President has done nothing since he came into power," he mentioned.
