I Want A Headline Concert Before I Die Pozo Hayes

AFTER decades of serenading us with timeless Highlife tunes, one would assume Pozo Hayes has accomplished all there is in the music industry. Yet, there remains one item to cross off his bucket list mdash;an unfulfilled dream that he holds dear: to headline his concert.
As he approaches his 70th birthday on February 14th next year, Pozo Hayes is making a heartfelt appeal to corporate bodies, individuals and industry stakeholders to help him realise this lifelong ambition that has eluded him for years.
For a man whose life’s work has been dedicated to music, a concert in his honour would be the ultimate tribute to him and also ensure that his legacy is celebrated in a manner befitting his contributions to the industry.
Born Nana Boakye Ofori Atta, Pozo Hayes told Graphic Showbiz in a recent interview that he would rather see this dream fulfilled during his lifetime than be showered with tributes after he was gone.
He said he would be very happy to see this dream become a reality while he is alive than to be paid all the glowing tributes one could think of when he died.
"The people of Ghana are aware of my tireless efforts and contributions to the music industry, and I don't feel the need to boast about my achievements. My works speak for itself– I've given my heart and soul to music, and I'm proud of what I've accomplished.
“As I approach my 70th birthday, which coincidentally falls on Valentine's Day, I would be very happy and honoured to be celebrated in a special way. So if any reputable organisation, government, well-wishers, or key players in the creative sector, feel my dedication and impact warrant recognition, I would be deeply grateful and humbled to receive such an honour.
“I would be happy if they pooled resources to make my dreams come true. It would mean the world to me to have my birthday celebrated in such a meaningful way, surrounded by music, love and appreciation”, he added.graphic showbiz
