Work Harder To Win The Trust Of Customers And Make Them Happy ECG Told

The Minister of State at the Energy Ministry, Hon Herbert Krapah has urged the Electricity organization of Ghana (ECG) to work harder to end the frustration of customers and resolve complaints of customers as early as possible by deploying more fault teams across the country.
The Minister of State at the Energy Ministry made this clarion call when he paid a working visit to the ECG customer services division in Accra West Region to ascertain the procedure they use in addressing customer concerns.
The minister said the visit was essential due to concerns of customers who come to his table and his phone about obstacles facing them in their day-to-day activities with ECG services.
He outlined obstacles like the duration ECG uses to address concerns, the application of Meter and its obstacles, and digitalization of the services and its obstacles among others.
He called on the management and staff of the ECG to use the information service department, and town hall meetings among other mediums to educate the general public on their services and how they can access them.
Hon Herbert Krapah urged the ECG to tackle the backlog and fasten their pace in replacing meters to ensure easy access to power quality power for the citizenry.
Herbert Krapah said the ministry and its agencies and government a committed to working with the ECG to ensure initiatives like the ECG app and the digitization drive as well as CAIMS come to fruition and are devoid of obstacles.
