Asante Kotoko will engage Major League Soccer outfit DC United in the Capital City Africa Cup on October 12, 2024, in the United States of America.
The Ghana Premier League giants earned the right to face the American Soccer Club after defeating fierce rivals Hearts of Oak to win the maiden edition of the Democracy Cup.
The Ghana Football Association in conjunction with the Ghana Tourism Authority have approved the Porcupine Warriors' participation of the game, which will be part of activities marking Ghana Week 2024 in DC.
This will be the second year running that a Ghanaian club has participated in the friendly Cup match in the United States, with Medeama being the first.
The Kumasi-based club are currently preparing for the upcoming season at their Adako Jachie Sports Complex as they eye the Premier League title in the upcoming campaign.
Asante Kotoko are the most successful club in Ghana, with a rich history of winning trophies, including being two-time champions of Africa.
