Fear Grips NDC Over Govts DRIP Equipment For MMDAs

The minority NDC in Parliament appears to have been hit by the overwhelming endorsement government has received across the country following the commissioning of District Road Improvement Project (DRIP) on Wednesday by President Akufo-Addo in Accra.
The equipment, government has explained, is to facilitate the rehabilitation of bad roads in every district by their respective MMDAs.
The DRIP equipment includes 6 x 4 tipper truck, water tank truck, wheel loader, motor grader and roller.
Following the commissioning of the equipment and the praise for government, the NDC questioned the source of funding.
Mahama Ayariga, NDC MP for Bawku Central, on the instructions of Minority Leader, wrote to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development asking for the source of funding and how much each equipment cost.
Despite the letter admitting it was aware Parliament approved funds for the acquisition of the equipment, the Minority still requests cost analysis as well as payment schedule for the equipment.
