Finance Minister To Present 2024 Mid year Budget Today

The Finance Minister of Ghana is expected to present the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review in Parliament today, July 23, 2024.
Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam's presentation aims to update the House on the implementation of the government’s 2024 Budget and also provide revised financial plans and an updated economic outlook for Ghana.
In a statement dated Monday, July 22, the Ministry said the review would provide an update on the implementation of the 2024 budget, with insights into the economic and fiscal performance for the first half of the year.
There would be an update on growth measures, revenue, expenditure performance, financing, and debt sustainability.
The Minister would also update Parliament on the implementation of the ongoing US$3 billion International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan-supported Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG).
This will be Dr Amin Adam’s first time presenting in Parliament since assuming office as Finance Minister in February 2024, in line with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921)
