His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Manste has thanked Hon Joe Ghartey for his public service. He said this when Joe Ghartey, the Board Chairman of GRA led the Board and Top Management of the Ghana Revenue Authority to pay a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse on 18th July 2024. The Ga Mantse said Joe Ghartey had served the nation well.
Mr Joe Ghartey is a five-term Member of Parliament.

The visit to the Ga Mantse was the first of the visits by GRA to traditional authorities to solicit the support of traditional authorities in the execution of its mandate.
Joe Ghartey noted one of the most resilient if not the most resilient institution in Ghana was the institution of Chieftaincy.
He noted that despite the serious attack on the institution especially during the colonial era, the institution of chieftaincy has survived.
