The Founder of the People’s National Party (PNP), Janet Nabla has denied allegations leveled against the PNP by the People’s National Convention (PNC) over alleged similarity which they believe could confuse potential electorate.
Madam Janet Nabla stated that there is no similarities between the PNP and the PNC as has been alleged by the solicitors of the PNC.
According to her both parties share no commonalities and has no intention of poaching its members or misleading voters.
The PNP’s response comes after lawyers of the PNC petitioned the Electoral Commission against the registration of PNP as a political party ahead of the December 7 elections.
However, in an interview with Citi FM’s Umaru Sanda Amadu on Eyewitness News on Thursday, Janet Nabla vehemently opposed the claim, stating that it does not hold water.
She said, "Mr Apasera, work hard with your PNC. Trust me, we have nothing in common. Our party symbols and things are different."
“The truth is that we don’t want anybody from the PNC who loves you to come to us, that is the truth. We don’t because we know the obstacles of the PNC.”
She further added, “When you have a new party you will want to work with people who love the truth, transparency, and have integrity.
