Nana Ohene Ntow has lauded SSNIT for retracting the sale of their hotels to Rock City Hotel.
SSNIT attracted the anger of Organized Labour and a section of the public over the sale of 60% of their shares in four hotels with the opposition National Democratic Congress blasting them for choosing the Minister of Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong's organization.
Organized Labour threatened a strike action on Monday, July 15, but fortunately called it off following SSNIT's concession not to sell the hotels any longer.
Addressing this issue during Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show, Nana Ohene Ntow applauded the institution for paying listening ears to Ghanaians and rescinding their decision.
However, he believed this decision is not a finality because the hotels are still struggling and need intervention to come back on its feet.
He noted that though SSNIT has refused to sell their shares, it behooves them to find ways to improve the degenerating hotels.
"I don't think this will be the finality on the issue. When you are doing a business and it is not going well, don't you sit down and recalibrate and look at it again? Then it means that SSNIT probably intends to look at the method they used for Labadi (Beach Hotel) to make profit and adopt such method," he said.
