La Palm Royal Beach Hotel Launches The Palms Convention Centre

The La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Ghana’s luxury seaside haven located in Accra has launched its ultra-contemporary events centre, The Palms Convention Centre.

The newly launched centre situated in the heart of the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, is designed to provide top tier solutions for conferences and events within an all-inclusive and contemporary setting.

The magnificent edifice is built in partnership with Events Resources Africa to provide the largest multipurpose Conference venue in Accra, as well as, Ghana at large.

The multipurpose edifice can be transformed into varied events settings, ranging from weddings, funerals, state functions, seminars, religious events, political rallies and conferences, awards Shows, amongst many others.

The auditorium which sits a capacity of about 2500 audience at a time, can be extended for outdoor programmes in order to create a memorable experience for patrons.

Addressing patrons at the launch, The Palms Convention Centre, Mr. Anthony Ghansah the Managing Director of La Palm Royal Beach hotel stated that, the edifice was built to cater to businesses the hotel is losing to their competitors in Europe as well as Africa.

“We were losing businesses to other countries because they had bigger facilities. So we came back to the drawing board to strategise, taking into consideration the bigger spaces we have to put up this edifice, in partnership with Events Resources Africa. So the dream has become a reality; we have created something that is distinct.”

Giving reasons a potential client should choose the Palms Convention Centre, the MD of La Palm Royal Beach Hotel said, “The Palms Convention Centre is one of the largest around. We have done the survey, and have realised that we are the second largest. Adding to that, it is a multipurpose space unlike others that are mono purpose. Again, it is connected to the hotel, so there is no need to worry about transportation nor accommodation. There is a restaurant to serve clients and organisations who would want to use the space for their retreats and conferences.”

On her part, the Sales Manager of La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Adwoa Baddoo was optimistic that the Palms Convention Centre will be the next event place all events organisers would want to use for their programmes.

She said, “We are looking forward to increasing capacity and deliver services that meets the demands of a sophisticated generation. It can only get better. The era in which we are is not like back in the day when we people would go for smaller space do events. This generation wants something more sophisticated. This is the Palms for now. In five years, it can be turned into many other things.”
